“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Best Hikes in the US

I like the night life; I like to boogie. Well, maybe not like I used to, but when I travel, I’m mostly into urban pleasures, the restaurants, the sights, the activity. Sometimes though I find my joy in the splendor of nature, including hiking through the beauties of a natural setting.

And these days, fun in the city comes with a lot of stress over social distancing and masks and, frankly, anxiety about infection. I can put all those issues aside in a day of sunshine and fresh air. I also like sharing that fun with my family.

Tyler Moss put together this list of the best hikes in national and state parks in the US. Even if you can’t get to one of these sites, maybe the story will inspire you to seek out some natural wonders closer to home.
