Changing Travel Plans
It’s certainly obvious to me, as a travel agent and as an inveterate traveler, that most of us are changing travel plans and habits in this season of the COVID-19 pandemic. An online AAA survey of Floridians bears this out. Their data shows 40% of respondents have rescheduled one or more vacations this year and 39% have cancelled a trip altogether.
Most of those that are traveling seem to have converted their plans from air travel to road trips. Not only are most international destinations closed to Americans or greatly restricted, but many US states have instituted quarantines, making even interstate road trips a challenge.
