“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Christmas Travel 2017

Are you traveling out of town for Christmas? If so, you’ll be joining about one-third of your fellow Americans on the roads and rails and in the air.

You can get some useful facts and hints in this New York Times Christmas travel guide. Beginning Wednesday evening, you might want to avoid major highways even for local trips, since that’s when the holiday traffic will really ramp up.

If you’ll be going through airport security with holiday gifts, keep in mind that wrapped gifts may trigger a security alarm and will then have to be opened, despite that cute ‘Do Not Open Before Xmas’ tag. TSA recommends using gift bags or wrapping gifts at your destination.

Safe and Happy travels to all our TravelHaven friends!
