Coronavirus Advice
I know everyone’s wondering what’s going to happen with the COVID-19 outbreaks. Several cruise ships have been impacted with passengers quarantined and ill.
I recently got an advisory from Princess Cruise Lines. Here are the highlights.
- Pack 14 days of extra medication and bring a list of names, strengths and dosages of all your medications.
- Bring emergency contact information for a trusted friend or family member not traveling with you.
- Enable an international travel plan for your mobile phone, including of voice and data.
- Purchase travel protection not only to cover losses from unforeseeable circumstances during your trip, but to include health care and evacuation.
- Practice healthy travel habits, including:
- Washing your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds.
- Taking advantage of hand sanitizer wherever it’s available.
- Covering your nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing using a tissue or your bent elbow. And always dispose of the used tissue and wash your hands afterwards.
- Avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.
- Avoiding close contact with sick people.
- Keep up with the latest health advisories and new travel restrictions.
Of course, these tips apply to all travel, not just cruises. Keep safe and keep aware, my friends.
