Six Travel Changes in 2017

Change happens all the time and sometimes we just don’t notice. Smarter Travel’s Sarah Schlichter has written about some events that occurred in 2017 and how they can affect your travel in 2018 and beyond.

 

Things like the record breaking hurricane season along the Gulf Coast and in the Caribbean and those amazing earbuds that can simultaneously translate foreign languages for you. Then there’s the “basic economy fares” from United and American that allow only one carry-on item and require anything else to be checked for an extra fee. On the other hand, United and Delta will pay bumped passengers up to $10,000 and Southwest has pledged to eliminate overbooking entirely.

 

TSA has announced some new procedures for passengers incoming from other countries which may impact your overseas travel.
