“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

The Culinary Institute at Greystone

Our next stop on Saturday was at the nearby Culinary Institute at Greystone for lunch.

With a vista of Napa Valley vineyards, Greystone’s terraced gardens of herbs, vegetables, and flowers provide a perfect setting of vibrant colors and enticing aromas amid the bustling activity of the Wine Spectator Greystone Restaurant.

Local, seasonal ingredients served as the inspiration for the cuisine, which features California’s bounty from the land and sea. We stuffed ourselves with the kind of food you would expect at such a first-class establishment — expertly prepared and beautifully presented.

After a relaxing interlude, we boarded the bus again for our second winery of the day.
