“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

What the vaccines will mean for travel

I’m sure everyone knows that multiple vaccines against the COVID-19 virus have been approved in various nations and are now being distributed. We’re hoping it will mean that we can resume travel soon.

Here’s an article from Outside that explores what effects the vaccine is already having on travel planning and what it may mean for trips this year. It sounds pretty hopeful. Of course, many questions remain about the vaccine itself, including when the general population will receive it. While frontline workers and high-risk individuals are already receiving doses, the average person in most states is still awaiting their turn.

Outside’s article also notes that efforts have begun to develop a digital vaccine passport that will allow passengers to share their testing results and vaccination information with authorities.

We hope to be journeying soon!
